I was dead chuffed with myself on Tuesday, after at least 5 years of sitting at the back of me barn I got the PX running and away to the MOT, which it duly passed - Horay Joy was short lived when it started to run rough on the way home and then conked out - no spark. AA home and set to seeing what problem is. Changed CDI with the one off me ETS and getting some spark but seems a bit weak and it won't start. So what next gents, electrickery stuff is blackk voodoo magic as far as I am concerned so I am stumped. Unfortunately I don;t have anything else to swap over to check fo rproblems so it is going to be trying to figure it out from here. Could it be the wee black pickup in the stator or just a knackered stator? Could it be demagnetised staor/flywheel? It is PX200 1997 if I remember right.

The PX stators are very prone to perish - the outer insulation on the wire deteriorates with time - I'd have a quick look at the state of the wiring behind the flywheel before trying anything else.
It could be a simple as a re-wire -
