Rev limit is set at 14200, but with this gearing the maximum it'll pull is about 12500. This was a section of Stickys write up in Scootering. It was running 7.9mph/1000rpm gearing then.

That is bonkers Oz , fair play ,true 100+mph scoot. I love that rally of yours if your ever looking to give it a new home give me a shout , but give me enough time to sell a kidney first. :-)

mental , i'm not brave enough to build a 100mph scoot never mind ride one ,dont even push it that fast on my bikes anymore ,getting old n breakable. i see in the "stickys" bit your running data-logging , ive been chatting to 2-3 guys in large frame world who are using a "micro-dyno" app . basically a app on a smart phone that you load lots of specs into then stick phone on gps/record in ya pocket/rucksack n thrash down the road . gives you "wavs" whatever they are you can run on ya computer ,clean up?, an it gives rpm/bhp-ps/torque figures/lines . the german guy who made is suppossed to have run it back to back with a true dyno an got comparable good results . i'm too much of a puter-numpty to understand better ,but with a CHT an this seen a newcomer dial in his 1st tune an get pretty impressive results . Still have this in the back of a lock-up. Ended its life on Good Friday 1985 heading for Morcambe Rally. Have frame to rebuild it. Bought it in '83, std P200. Ended up a Polini 220. Use to piss off the older lads in scooter club, they were all Lammy boys, I was one of the youngsters, and the only one tuning Vespas. Nothing they owned could touch it.

Hit an Escort van, he turned right as I was just minding my own business looking forward to an Easter weekend in a shitty northern town. I went over handlebars and broke femur on headset. In traction for 7 months, off work for two years. Insurance had paid out by the time I came out of hospital, so within a couple of weeks I had bought the PX125 that is now the PTS1E. By the time I could (sort of) walk again, it had the Polini 220 in it out of the wrecker.

I haven't ridden a pushbike since, had 7 ops on it, (right leg). Got restricted knee movement so haven't been able to do Northern Soul acrobatics, ride a pushbike, do the mrs doggy style...this was all mentioned in my compensation claim Can't kick a bike over with right leg. The lovely girlfriend takes great joy in mentioning how much of a spastic I am at every opportunity

Hopefully the slowest thing about this project will be the time it's taking to build. Gonna be ridden by my 'sorta daughta' (the girlfriends youngest). Fibreglass rear and leggies. Waynes old frame, (an ebay bargin). Parma W-Force 144. Currently all in 'mock-up' form.

One question. Have looked at RWYB rules and it says "must have a valid driving license" Any idea what sprint events require? Sophie has a full car licence but not passed bike test.

surely a race licence will suffice, if its ok for guy martin the "sorta daughter" should be right . H just had a thought ,before puters use to drive cars n get pulled ,cop would ask got a full licence an i'd say yes .he'd radio nin an get told yes full licence , nobody ever asked bike or car . if rules say must have valid licence ,there not stating in which catergory or valid full or provisional ,so reckon she's good to go .
