is the seller in brighton , cant find the name yet, am about to go down n get some for the frankenscoot so will ask. i measured up with a piece of string. just checked listing/link n reckon its same guy ,your link takes you to the wider trim i used on my large frame ,http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Small-White-Car-Door-Boot-EDGE-TRIM-SEAL-PVC-Rubber-Caravan-Camper-Moped-4x4-/221177311735?hash=item337f31f1f7:g:n-cAAOxy0NtTFe3q . thats the size i used on my smallie . if memorys working 2 metres just does a small an 3 metres for a large .run a piece of string round edge to be covered then measure that to be sure eh. guys a "clothes/fashion photographer " actually ,so i drop in to ogle the models , actually he uses manikins, really really expensive ,grand a time ones ,an i'm not that much of a perve to get off on them. especially as there half body ,waist up or waist down ones . Haha thanks Henri, thought that said mankinis at first - whole different ball game eh?
Yeah it occurred to me after posting that I could just measure the legshields myself instead of asking stupid questions. I'll order that smaller size then I reckon, they do it in grey too.

Well the legshield trim arrived and it looks great, thanks for the tip Henri: The holes for the Vespa badge have been filled in, and I'd rather just poke through the filler in the original holes than drill new holes, can anyone give me a rough measurement from the top of the legshield and in from the side so I can try find the holes? Or should the badge just be stuck on? Also I've had a look at the barrel, and its stamped 'PM', so am I right in thinking thats a Polini? Does the wetness at the bottom of the barrel suggest a leak d'you reckon? Also, the studs that were used for the old inlet manifold are way too long, is there a right way of removing them? And any idea what ones I need - I can't work out what search terms to use on Beedspeed and SIP. Lastly, the old manifold on the left looks to have a bigger opening that the new one I've bought on the left - have I bought the wrong one? Thanks in advance guys. Leon

PM stands for Polini Motori.
I'm just wondering with that long stud if you have another inlet in the barrel just above where the manifold sits? Would make it a twin induction if so.
To get the old studs out lock 2 nuts together on the stud and twist it out using the lower one.

Cheers Juan, and thanks for the stud tip. Dunno about the two inlets thing, the manifold only had one opening.

Yes, I know the manifolds you have only have a single feed but I was talking about the barrel itself, does it have any port low down opposite side from the exhaust?

Can't see on the pics I took and didn't notice anything like that when I was out in the shed earlier. Here's another pic of the port, not sure if it tells us owt though. Will have a look over the weekend. Cheers.

Removing the studs should be easy with two nuts. Put two nuts on the same thread and tighten them together, clean the threads first with some brake cleaner on a rag, you can get this from toolstation or screwfix. Use a spanner on the bottom nut to unwind the stud. Be careful and make sure you don't put any side pressure on the stud by pushing the spanner into it too hard, as it could snap. If the nuts start to slip you may need to heat up the aluminium. Use a hairdryer. It's hot enough when your spit bubbles.

Got the old studs out nice and easy using the two nut method, thanks for the advice. Gasket and shorter studs ordered from Beedspeed just now, can't wait to get this carb fitted and get it running.
