Hi, i would like to clean or restore my gaz tank. It have rust inside and on the lid.... how can i do that? Thx

use an acid to disolve the rust. domestos lime scale remover (5%hydrcloric acid) concentrated vinegar from the local chinese super market (30 - 40% acetic acid) coke (phosphoric acid)
all are quite cheap and easily obtained,
soak for a couple of hours.

ony one,
but wait a while and see what others recomend
the vinegar stains the metal black but gets rid of the rust

new nuts n bolts inside , wrap in duvet secured with gaffer tape , stick in tumble dryer n run for 40-60 mins , outside ,wire wheel n rust cure ,etch prime n paint , works for me , H

Do you have a spare tumble dryer for this or does your dearly beloved let you play with your normal one? Tried this in mine and didn't dare leave it running for anything like that long

My wide frame is a 1957 so was really messey. I used nuts bolts, gravel and petrol
Loats of soaking and shaking:0)
Not saying its the best way, but worked for me
