The Mrs hasn't used this bike,(1980 V100),since '88, it's been sat in various garages since. It's now been decided to get it on the road for her daugter, to learn how to ride a Smallframe, before she starts sprinting. A while ago I slung in a Primmy front end and headset, now she's loosened the purse strings to get it on the road. Not bothering with a paint job as she's bound to drop it, although may invest in a couple of cans of Halfords finest satin black. Got a few bits in various garages and awaiting deliveries from PMs and Beedies.

Mudguard crest suggests it's off a 50 Special.

I like the maroon, would leave that alone and maybe just treat the mudguard and headset with the satin black.
Exhaust would also seem to be an old Fresco if the red paint is orgional, won't really cut it these days, so what's the plan with topend, pipe etc?

Iron Polini 130, Rotary valve, 25mm Del, have a selection of pipes to try on dyno. Looking for 10ish hp, 60mph top end so she doesn't piss over my Rally. Was looking at taking the plunge and ordering a 12V kit from India (£40) but decided on Beedies (£150) instead....hope Beedies aren't from there

Quite sure that once the leccy kit has been checked over and perfected in your workshop it will be very useable.. Good luck with the Bitsa build, (I hope it is quicker than the Rally B.T.W.. )

Oz Resolder the wiring on the beedies Indian (swiss branded) stator as they vibrate a lot and the solder drops off. I put one on a mates engine last year and had a bit of trouble with it but Alan re soldered for us

Thanks for advice. I might order an Indian one just to have a look, got another Smallframe that will need a 12v conversion so will need one anyway. On ebay they're about £40 but £30 delivery, anyone else interested in taking the plunge and maybe we can get combined postage?
