Nice one Nick! LTH do spacers of various thickness for the rear wheel, I think you'll find them under gaskets. As for the cylinder cowl, it should fit without any problems. Remove the bolt at the back and just fix it at the front and that should do it. Thanks Max...those spacers at LTH are pretty pricey, especially with postage added. Simply bearings have some copper seal washers the right size - any reason I couldn't use them and make myself an ali spacer from a gasket template?

Agree, price is a bit high if you only order the spacers, you could probably make your own.

Beautiful engine. I love the 1st kick video. That engine just wants to walk that stand all over the yard. Nice work Nick.. great thread.

nice looking engine ,gutted i couldnt get the sound to work on my puter .as tzsteve said ive also heard of modified t5 cowls being used .an also claims when checked on a dyno the engines run cooler with t5 .probably just better air flow around sensor than actual engine temp.but better airflow better heat exchange from engine i guess . i`m curious about this engine cooling thing when i saw the parmakit PK at cadwell it had a watercooled head and no other cooling for the barrel no fins on the flywheel and no air scoop either. my instinct tells me that the barrle would nip up in no time yet i never saw it nip-up

An air flow test was done on a Step dyno many years ago with cowls and T5 one came out best.
I think the parma race bike should have altered the geometry of the bike for cadwell, its still angled for a Kart track.

Well the engine is now in my v100 and after a bit of playing around with hub spacers all set up nicely. I needed a 2mm spacer and a thicker gasket to stop the SIP rim rubbing on the clutch cover so ordered parts from LTH. Very nice they were too Once that was sorted got everything wired up and carb on. Carb was pretty simple to set up. Much better than a delly phbl to get idling nicely. Would definitely recommend it. The franz fitted very neatly though I needed to just ease the lip on the edge of the left hand bubble to give it a bit more clearance. Once all that was done, and I'd cleaned the bit of crud out of the carb float that came from the length of fuel pipe that was full of dust.....duuuh...it fired nicely and off we went. Then I stopped and swapped the gear cables over so they were the right way round... Anyway I've now had about 100miles on it which has gone smoothly apart from the pin on the gear change dropping out, probably because I hadn't wacked it in properly. It revs up really nicely. The clutch is slipping a fraction in 3rd so might need to change the springs and I'm going to upgrade the shocks to bitubos. The kit seems to go really well with the franz. Not too loud either. Much nicer sound than the PM I had before. All in all I'm very pleased with the result. Nicest engine I've had in a scooter. Will try and get a video of it so you can hear it in action, and thanks for all the help along the way

Yeah it's a nice unmolested V100 in original paint. Bought it from Medway Scooters 5 years ago with all original paperwork etc. I still have the original 3 speed engine untouched...

So I lowered the engine to do a few tweaks including sorting a slipping clutch. Opened the clutch up and found the new SIP/newfren Carbon plates look like this... Not impressed..only done a 100 miles. I assume this is just crap plates but would be good to hear if it's evidence of any other issue...?

I'd not be happy either, presume that the basket itself and the cush drive are in good order?
