a vbb chassis 3 experts told me was scrap unsaveable , a set of zip forks from a nicked/burnt out scoot , vincent tailight ive had in shed for 20 years , bought a ss90 floor an 92l2 bars n disco dez did me a deal on the clamp, an got a cosa200 lump with broke cases an new bearings/seals/bolts/clutch/barrel/head/piston n rings for 140 ,new cases 80 quid n rest of cosa 50, got 200 back breakin cosa ,so new lump =£70 .so far it stands me at 220 , reckon might be a sub 1000 street racer when done ,not counting my hours of course ,but being paid for havin fun is sinful . oh an ive a set of panels to cut ,but as there where used by a guy to learn how to panel beat ,unsuccessfully, there no loss to vespista's . for paint i'm stuck between another azure 1 like my v100, an shiny black with glitter in laquer coat , not sure it will stand out against such a dark base tho, H

It was good for a laugh, sounded great, but at less than 20 to the gallon it had to go. Just wanted to add a V8 to the list of trikes I'd done. All long since out of my system.

only did 1 trike , an didnt get the "ackerman" (i thinks thats the name) steering angles/frame geometry right , rode it 1/4 mile got off walked back ,gave keys to owner an said "its up there ,you go get it" , he loved it an kept it for years , reckon he had about 6 stone more ballast than me an that made a difference . i had to buy the bars but got em cheap, havent had the nerve to cut brake lever pivot for the master cylinder yet , am considering taking bout 3-4" out the centre to slim em a bit , did have a pair of LD bars i was considering using but the mate i talked em out of wants em back ,either for his px or to replace the beedys drops on his lamb-chop we built .what engines in ya chop , this ones a smallblock taken out to 175cc n race pipe ,indian electonics gp , an is 8 2" tip to tail , an the "grinning idiot" is owner on mot-day , an thats £300 worth of genuine "triumph" leather he wears to ride it , coz it annoys scooterboys/mods/bikers/scratchers ,well just bout everybody , hilarious , are you a member of the lammie chop club ,H

Nice, Mine is/will be running a 186 Mugello, Varitronic, 30mm dellorto and an original under the kickstart Fresco. I say will, as I haven't wired it up yet. Engine in, new hubs, rims etc all built and fitted. No pics of rolling chassis I'm afraid, but this is the bare bones of it: All fab work by Steve67 on here (for the moderators, there is a bit of smallframe in that frame somewhere ) I really must crack on with this, but other projects also on the go, if only I could concentrate on one at a time Not a member of the chopper club, just the LCGB (the scooter lot, not the lactating lot).

thats sweet, nice lines on the extra frame tubing ,steve67 does nice work, looks lengthened/raked bout the same , for a loom i copied beedys lectronic conversion diagram ,then mate had a led rear light he wanted to use , didnt matter how much i hacked the loom n re-wired for some reason it acted as a kill switch on the brake light, put a bulb 1 on an it was fine , had to use computer cable tidys to hold loom back together . its had its years shakedown now an is in for new loom ,move seat post back a inch n tidy up the bars, toyin with the idea of a foot change as my idea of a foot/suicide clutch wasnt well received,an move speedo up.those acma bars n clamp look clean an simple, very nice , H

was rubbin back a montesa seat/tank unit for paint this weekend an rested it on top off the "franken-monster" , it caught my eye , so got the management to come out n hold it where it would sit if youve removed the seat nose , is it just me but if building a street racer large frame wouldnt those lines look fine , its a single rubber butt pad seat ,you could fit a removable rear dome ,like the pillion covers on scratcher bikes , not for this frame tho, ive gone far enuff "out-there" as is ,but 1 for a future project maybe , H

i'm cheating ,coz its a vbb frame the shock tunnel on frames wide/round enough to fit a px shock with out the distance piece in ,an the heights right , at top its not dead square coz the cosa shock mounts longer , am debating seeing how long top rubbers last the shear forces or re-drilling the top mount hole bout 2" further back, havent tried it in a px frame so am guessing ,coz there less rounded/bulbous on the tunnel the angle would make the shock rub on frame , depending on how its been cut at the back ,i'm still mocking up an was going to get it running an go hit some bumps ,see if it rubs or knocks an how it handles ,nothins set in stone yet . am goin to weld in the forks an get some rubber on rims then get the local fat lad round to bounce on scoot like a toddler whilst i lie down lookin up ,checkin how the engine/suspension moves before riding . ive never done this before or seen 1 thats been done ,an got the impression from people who said it couldnt/shouldnt/cant be done they where speaking from there prejudice about cosa's .mostly people who've never ridden one , they are without a doubt the ugliest duckling piaggio had , but cc to cc will out perform /out handle /out brake a px anyday of the week , just you'll never look "cool" doing it , "mod" they aint , why i took a grinder/welder n matt-black to the missus's 1 , that an at night i couldnt sleep from hearing it crying for the grinder .i ride it often an love the engine in it ,really revvy an pulls well up hill . got some more done this weekend ,not much as i was playin with marks v50s ,tryin an failin to get it ready for hayling , tidied up the nearside panel an decided on a clip on not bolt on panel, an cut the offside panel , ground the weld back an made up a beading piece to re-inforce the edge an stop it flapping in the breeze. the edge needs grinding/sanding back an then when rigid a skim of cellulose filler to cover the hundreds of dents from a mis-attempt at learning panel beating, not by me , would of got more done but spent saturday delivering some forks to uncle chufty ,an begging a master cylinder for rear brake , nxt is making up the mounts for that n captive nuts inside frame an then i can weld leggys/floor on an have a whole scoot frame again .
