Hi Mick, Its a falc motor, though this one was reworked by Charlie for me. Its the fastest thing I've ever ridden. It has been reworked to enable me to get the drive off corners, the standard falc kit is based on lauro's sprint bikes but of course he reworks those too. Special gearbox, falc clutch and drt parastrappi. The exhaust is Charlie's design to work with his idea of tuning. It all works of course as the bike has been raced 3 times. Setting third fastest lap first time out and after some suspension work set fastest scooter lap ever at Cadwell full circuit and fastest lap at mallory this year coming second behind Mr Edmonds. It is a missile. Mad thing. We now have made some improvements so looking forward to getting out on it again which will be at anglesey due to work.

Tony, unrelated here but......, do you reckon the Falc rotary could sneak in GP4 if it got passed at the AGM?

You'd have to buy one, propose it. I'll tell you why I changed group tho.. I developed the fabrizi 150 rotary valve kit. I worked it so NO machining to crankcase was required. Actually I used the crank case neck as part of the barrel ( ;D). The piston run in it. Power was 22.5 with a krp5 race pipe. It was quick. I raced it a few times. Had teething troubles with the ignition map at anglesey and sorted it later on. I did a 1.12.79 at Mallory 07 which was 4th fastest lap behind Charlie, Stuart etc and only by 2 seconds. So 12 secs behind at the end of the 6 lap race but i'd toasted the piston after that race again due to the mapping(i know why now!) ..however in gp4 it was not homologated but i was allowed to test/develop. So I intended to propose but due to the bridged ex port they said no early on. The ex port will be the stumbling block.

Juan, Tony,
afaik the 57mm rotary falc has not got a split ex port, and the exhaust flange is "standard" smallframe size.

Yeah John, I remember Tony saying that and looking at Wayne's pictures of his rotary barrel I can't see there'd be a problem getting the Falc passed if someone were to submit it for approval. Whether it could perform to it's potential without building up the cases is an other matter. Link

Marcus is right..I think therefore if you bought one, proposed it it may well get in. I got the rotary M1 through. And thats basically the same. Coming racing then marcus!!?
