Not mine and not Vespa related, but thought it might be interesting for some of you lads. Two projects of our garage's neighbours. It's nice to find out that there are other two-stroke freaks like you in the same garage alley you can have a chat, a beer and a laugh while trying to start up the engine for the whole evening (happened to both of us once . Simson S51 (1980s) - air cooled, 50cc, two stroke moped, a sub-brand of East German manufacturer IFA (famous for great MZ motorcycles). Cafe-racer optical tuning, 70cc cylinder, 19mm carb (going for 21mm), leovince pipe, 4-speed. The owner still didn't make up his mind on the lights. Stock look: Romet Komar (english translation for Komar is Mosquito) (1960s-1970s) - air cooled, 50cc, two stroke Polish-made moped. The stock performance were really poor, but it's still one of the most "cult" moped in our country: 1,4HP@4000rpm, 2 gears, 40kmph (25mph). With basic tuning you could get 1HP more (adjusting port timing, squish, port shapes). That particular one was owned by guy's grandfather since the beginning. When grandpa died, the moped lied in the shed for 15 years, was and was rebuild just recently. Fitted with 3-speed gearbox from other Romet moped is now reaching 50kmph Stock look: As a bonus, me and my mate in our man-cave working on our smallies
