Im pretty sure just a restoration, cables, harness, paint and bodywork. I'm not sure about the motor. the scoot is going to be a late wedding present for my sister and her husband. Since I'm @ a mile above sea level, the performance of the little 90 leaves a little to be desired. But she will be scootin' at sea level when she's done. any ideas about performance at that elevation( stock)?Minor upgrades might be done, I want to keep it reliable, and as trouble free as possible.

That's the tidiest garage I've ever seen! Nice scoot as well!

Thanks potatopl, but the pics are of the basement. It's much more comfortable to work in. I do everything but fit the engine there. then carry the frame and engine up to the garage for final assembly. here is the garage, its not so neat:)

Wow Now that's a garage - and a great selection of vehicles! As long as the MGB's sump doesn't leak onto the smallies, that is

is that a big crease in the legshields under the horn cover? yes its a fairly large crease, but i measured the geometry against a straight frame and its really close to being true.

have you ran a straight edge through the center of the seat bolts? i am not looking for work, but it looks twisted from the front over to the left quite a bit. worth checking before you chuck a load of money at it......just my opinion. www.vespaframejig.com

I have measured, and measured, but as near as i can tell, it is about 1 mm to the left at the top, and true on the bottom. All measurements +or- 1mm. Unfortunatly I'm in the U.S., or I would definitly have you work your magic on it!

Yes it's a 57 125 ld with the tool box behind the seat, I plan on riding it until it falls apart. its nowhere near as fun to ride as a small frame!

After a bit of a break (due to great riding weather) The project continues. I decided to try and pull the legshield crease out. A little more welding, a trip to the bead blaster, then its time for primer. Cant find last pic, but the crease is now no more then 3mm deep. Ive exhausted my metal skills, so I think filler to get it smooth.
