Hi again all - I still have this project scooter and have still not done anything with it...
I have however sold off all of the Yamaha parts that I was intending to resto-mod into it.
I'm looking to move this on, as a project 1970's Alfa Romeo is now draining my wallet, as well as having a wedding to pay for shortly.
If anyone is interested in taking this off my hands complete (disassembled) as per the first post of this thread, I'm asking £1000 firm
It's all there, together with a few extra/spare parts that I got together for the restoration, ie extra wheels, new tyres, spare front fork etc.
Hope the moderators don't mind me advertising it here (not advertised anywhere else yet)
If interested, by all means email me at vespaloco@yahoo.com
All the best, Tom

The deed is done. Currently residing in my shed. Picked up from Tom yesterday after Wicksteed. I have had several "oh no.. What have a done?" moments already

More than I anticipated, engine mounts and a cross member, and he has unfortunately mislaid the bits but I am thinking 4 strike dirt bike lump or even an auto!

It's a good use of an old tin tin bath , cut it in half and use it as a front Mudguard :-) it makes the S2 one look tiny.

no good to stick a rack or barby on then . with those panels it does look like the "bastard lovechild" of a lamm n a heinkel left alone in a dark shed . well to my eyes anyway ,you lot will have to squint to see it . H

No room for a 500 twin. Did a quick measure up and if it's bike engine it'll be a single if it goes under the lift off rear body. I could always put it in the gap where your feet go but that's the stage it stops being a scooter in my eyes.

How about a Kawasaki kx500 but you might have to put a wheelie bar on then. :-)

Yep, it would fit but very lary! Need something I can ride to the shops on. That's the problem with having these mega tuned smallframes, you can't just go for a poodle about you have to ride em like you stole em!

Maybe a Honda c90 then ? That would be a piece of cake to do.

I reckon you could get a compact twin like a Suzuki GT 185 in there fairly easily.

Would a Vtwin fit in? Suzuki SV 650 or Hyosung?

I think you'd be surprised how little width there is in there to be honest. The rear lift off loop isn't as wide as a Lambretta S2 for example I and if you think that a lot of the bike engined Lammies that have been done have had the loop widened a bit.

Looking at autos at the moment. But then again also looking at Aprilia RS125 2 stroke and Husqvarna 250 4 stroke so very much in the air. Early days yet so keeping options open. Have looked at the kits form china you can get for electric but at most 30mph for no more than 50 miles. No good for me.
