Hey Ben, Would you consider making sets of these to order? That way I could lend my own set to my fellow sc members I'd def want a set if you are gonna make them to order, pretty sure a few people on here would want their own set too. Maybe could wait till you have a list of who wants them, payment upfront then make em and send em all in one go? Oh and make a few extra sets at the same time and test the water on eBay, reckon they'd sell like hot cakes !

Hi Ben,
Tbh I'm not very keen on doing more sets at the moment, the main problem being my free time, sorry pal. If you know a guy with a welder these really are very simple to make, bit of 8mm rod and squished 20mm tube for the jaws. Borrow these, see how they work and copy them!
Ta,

Just out of curiosity, tell me honestly what would you pay for a set on eBay? I personally think their market value is about £30 a set, which is about £10 profit and not worth turning on the plasma & welder.

not much profit, and there are body work company's that make similar items that will do the trick... They just cost a lot.

Yeah i hear what your saying, that's why I thought if you had an order for x numbers of sets it'd be worth doing instead of just a set at a time. I'd be happy to pay £40 for a set tho easy and eBay wise I'd stick a set on auction off at that price and see what happens. I think the reason they'd sell is people like me who haven't got a welder itd work out cheaper, as by the time I've bought the mole grips and paid a welder to make the tools and dolly your looking at more than £40 quid I reckon. But yeah on the other hand people who have a welder would just make them instead of lending/buying a set. Just thought maybe worth considering

And we're off...!
On their way to GeorgeS in Newbury, post office only charged me £5.30 which I think is reasonable and saves the courier saga, let us know when you get them mate...

I agree 100% with Ben. There is so much work involved in actually making something like these beading tools. There's welding gas, electricity, welding wire, stock materials, prep, grinding discs, cutting discs and last but not least your time!
It's not cheap making anything like this and I often get annoyed when peops say, "oh just weld this for me..." To be fair, a lot of guys on the furm will pay for a welding job, but it's still a lot of effort.

I think if we just post on this thread who has them or wants them and then the sender can PM the moderators the recipients address just in case.

quick question, will the dolly fit a PX legshield aswell? or is the radius of it slightly different?
as i've just taken the legsheild beading and floor runners off, and mine have taken a couple of wallops

Just done some comparisons, it's not a good fit on either a px or a pk but the mole grips will do a good enough job, the dolly just speeds that corner up. As a side note to folks making their own sets, another pair I've made in the past are pictured below, they are for straightening the mudguard beading. These aren't in the kit!!!!
